Starting out as a teenage visitor to Hampton Beach working at Playland Arcade, Jim Trainor was drawn to the sense of community and family atmosphere the beach brings. Now a longtime business owner he reflects on the transformation of a former rooming house into a cherished seaside hotel for those visiting and enjoying the Hampton Beach atmosphere and nightlife.
Working in harmony with neighboring businesses such as the Hampton Beach Casino and the Casino Ballroom, the inn and café are pillars of the Boardwalk family. Comprising of The Boardwalk inn and Café, JB’s Seafood, Boardwalk Fries, and Boardwalk Lemonade and Smoothies, our mission is to create a welcoming and vibrant experience that people want to return to year after year for the fantastic customer service and oceanside entertainment. Opening annually in the early spring and open through the late fall, The Boardwalk is a great place to catch a show at the casino ballroom, or a much needed vacation.
